Coffee and TV

To save some shekels, I decided to start making my own coffee at work. This will save me, per day, at least $2.80, minus the amortized cost of my Bodum French press and, of course, money spent on coffee beans. What I'm discovering, though, is that because I'm either too lazy or too busy to clean the press each day, I wind up drinking much less coffee. Today I had but one cup, prepared at home — about a third of my per diem average. But I do like drinking coffee, so if you see me on the Internets, please remind me to make coffee. Thanks.

In unrelated news, how about that State of the Union address? I noticed that this year Bush's speech writers discovered the word "empower." He used it eleven times. Last year's speech included that word not once. In fact, I don't believe it appeared in any of his previous seven SOTUs. For a moment, I thought I was listening to Bill Clinton.
