I love it when reporters get cheeky:
Posted by cradle at February 3, 2004 06:34 PMPowell noted that not only the CIA but other intelligence agencies and the United Kingdom "suggested that the stockpiles were there."
Asked whether the American public should be reassured that so many intelligence agencies were so wrong, Powell replied: "I think it should be reassuring to the voters of the United States that we found a regime that's clearly demonstrated intent and clearly had the capability, and that the president had the information from the intelligence community."
One of the things I like about sports writing is that there are more opportunities to get cheeky.

You know what I really like, though, is that in the UK, when someone on the inside squeals to the media, they drag you out into the woods near your home and they make it look like you committed suicide. And THEN, rather than run a fake investigation into the suicide to make the whole thing seem remotely plausible, they run a fake investigation into the information that was leaked in the first place, and this leads to the head of the BBC resigning, lest the pressures of running the BBC lead to despression and....suicide, of course.
