Stormy Weather

The storm approaches! I am the only one here at work, and I'm beginning to worry that I don't have enough food at home, or enough candles, and so forth. Perhaps I'll run over to the store and see what's left.

I have five chocolate eclair ice cream bars in my freezer, and I'm more or less resigned to an extended blackout. Before the electricity goes out, should I eat all five ice cream bars in one sitting? They're very tasty, you know.

I think that just /before/ the power goes out you should reach into the freezer and eat the ice cream.

We have ice cream here that might spoil as well, and that's the only spoil-able thing in our freezer, the rest being baby cereal and ice.

Why do I freeze the baby cereal? I'm glad you asked. We had some meal moths for awhile and the last place I wanted them to get into was the food for the child, so I put it in the freezer.

A better idea than eating them all in one sitting, is to bring them to your good friends' house and share them! You could even stay through the storm if you like - we have food and candles and fresh batteries in our radio.
